My boiler keeps losing pressure?
keyboard_arrow_right
Boilers can lose pressure for various reasons. Some times there can be a leak on the system usually near a radiator or it could be that a component in the boiler is failing or has failed.
To top up the pressure on your boiler please refer to the manufactures instructions as they usually have a section explaining how to do this.
If you do not have the manufactures instructions or do not feel confident enough to take on the task yourself please do not hesitate to give you us a call to see if we can help. In some cases we can talk you through the procedure over the phone without even having to visit your home.
If you have to keep topping the pressure up on your boiler frequently this would suggest that there may be a problem with your boiler and we would advise that you contact a Gas Safe registered engineer at your earliest convenience to discuss the problem.
My radiator isn’t getting warm?
keyboard_arrow_right
This could be due to a variety of reasons, there could be air in the system which will need to be removed, (See below, how do i bleed a radiator) or there could be debris in the system which occurs naturally when you have water travelling through a metal object. Both of these can make the boiler and radiators work less efficiently and effectively.
If after checking that there is no air in the radiators we would suggest that you give us a call so we can try and help you to find out why your radiators are no longer getting warm.
How do i bleed a radiator?
keyboard_arrow_right
This is not as tricky as it sounds if you follow these few simple instructions.
Make sure your central heating is off.
Using a radiator key (these can be brought in most DIY stores) gently open the bleed screw on the radiator.
Release the air trapped in the radiator until water starts to come out of the radiator. Please make sure you have a towel handy at this point.
Once the water is coming out of the radiator you can close the bleed screw up. Job done.
My heating is making a strange noise?

This problem has many guises. It could be something quite simple as trapped air in a radiator ( See above, how do i bleed a radiator) or something a little more complex such as a part within the boiler becoming loose or broken.
If you are in doubt about any noises within the boiler or your heating system please just give us a call. We may be able to diagnose the problem over the phone. Alternatively our Gas Safe registered engineer can call round at a convenient time for yourself to try and identify where your noise is coming from, what the noise might be and how we can help to reduce the noise for you.
My hot water isn’t getting hot enough?

This unfortunately is usually caused by a problem with the boiler. While it is sometimes a relatively simple and easy repair to your boiler it is never the less a repair which must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
